An ‘asylum seeker’ from Afghanistan was arrested for sexually assaulting a young girl on a tram a short distance from the official seat of European Parliament, according to reports.

The disturbing incident unfolded recently in Strasbourg, France, where the legislative body of the European Union meets monthly.

A 15-year-old girl had just boarded a local train in the city center when a foreign man sat next to her and proceeded to molest her, Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace reports.

“The defendant set his sights on this young woman. He sat next to her, he squeezed her, trapped her, then he ended up pinning her against the window of the tram,” prosecutor Alexandre Chevrier explained in court on March 1.

The man was grabbing the terrified girl’s thighs and buttocks when when a Good Samaritan intervened.

The predator initially blamed a ‘misunderstanding’ for his actions, but authorities took him into custody.

He was identified as a 24-year-old Afghan national who arrived in France after ‘fleeing the Taliban.’

A judge sentenced him to a year in prison and banned him from French territory for five years.

Infowars regularly documents attacks on and around public transportation in Western Europe.

A heated debate over violent crime and lawlessness tied to mass migration has been raging in France.

Military leaders have fired off multiple incendiary letters in recent years, warning the Macron government of looming “civil war” if strong measures are not taken to regain control of a society spiraling into chaos.
