Nicola Sturgeon to resign as Scotland’s first minister
Опубликовано: Wednesday, 15 February 2023 09:14

The Scottish National Party leader is expected to make the announcement at a hastily-arranged news conference in Edinburgh.

It is not clear exactly when she will leave office.

Sturgeon has been first minister since November 2014, when she took over from Alex Salmond following the independence referendum.

She went on to become the country’s longest-serving first minister.

However, a source close to Sturgeon told the BBC that she had "had enough".
