Italian media reports former Italian PM is ‘stable’ in hospital.

Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s former prime minister, was taken into intensive care in a hospital cardiac unit Wednesday, after suffering from “breathlessness.”

It comes after the 86 year old was discharged just days ago on March 30 from Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital following checks likely related to heart issues.

Berlusconi, who is the leader of Forza Italia, a coalition party in Giorgia Meloni’s right-wing government, is said to be “stable,” according to local media reports.

During the pandemic, he suffered serious complications after a bout of COVID-19, which he described as “the worst experience” of his life.
