Seven people arrested for giving information to Mossad.

Seven individuals have been detained by Turkish security forces on the suspicion that they have provided information to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, according to authorities who have not been named.

After conducting a joint raid in Istanbul and the city of Izmir in the western region of Turkey, the police and officials from Turkey’s MIT intelligence agency were able to make the arrests.

As of yet, Ankara has not issued a formal statement regarding the arrests that took place on Friday.

Since the beginning of Israel’s war with Hamas, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been engaged in a verbal conflict with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that has become increasingly heated.

The acts that Mr. Netanyahu has taken in Gaza have been referred to as "genocide" by him, and he compared him to Hitler back in the month.

Officials from the Israeli intelligence service have pledged to launch attacks against Hamas in locations outside of the Palestinian territory, including Lebanon, Qatar, and elsewhere.

After the Islamist group’s fighters entered Israel on October 7 and carried out a series of horrific attacks that resulted in the deaths of over 1,300 people, Israel began its war against the Islamist group.

There were around 250 persons carried back to Gaza as captives, and 105 of them were eventually released after a truce that took place in November.

MIT, however, allegedly found out that Mossad was employing private investigators to monitor, photograph, and trace suspected Hamas members, according to media stories that were published by officials who remained anonymous.

In January, the Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunc announced that the 34 individuals who were being held were being charged with "political or military espionage" on behalf of Israeli intelligence.

The Israeli intelligence agency Mossad is suspected of recruiting Palestinians and Syrian nationals who are now residing in Turkey for its operations.

The President of Turkey has issued a warning to Israel, stating that there will be "serious consequences" if Israel targets Hamas members on Turkish soil.

In contrast to the majority of Western nations and a few Arab states, Turkey does not consider Hamas to be a terrorist organisation.

The Palestinians are receiving a significant amount of support in Turkey, as evidenced by the fact that tens of thousands of people frequently attend marches in Istanbul and other cities.
