Twitter: Conservative Political Accounts You Must Follow

This list is for the right-wing conservative news bloggers in mind (or for spying liberals).

If you haven’t started using Twitter as a news resource, now’s the time to start. With the popularity of Twitter expanding every day, more and more politicians and mainstream news sources are opening accounts.

My intention was to include such conservative figure-heads like Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, and Hannity & Colmes. But alas, they don’t have Twitter accounts (yet). They’ll get on the boat soon enough.

In the mean time, these Twitter profiles are a good start:

Sen. John McCain (Republican Presidential candidate):

Update Frequency: Low
(1-3 updates/day)

Gov. Sarah Palin (Republican Vice Presidential candidate):

Update Frequency: Low
(2-5 updates/day)

The American Mind:

Update Frequency: Low
(1-3 updates/day)

Red State:

Update Frequency: High
(2-5 updates/hour)

Fox News:

Update Frequency: High
(5-10 times PER HOUR)

GOP Conference:

Update Frequency: Low
(< once per day)

Warning:

Please be aware of the update frequency for the news sources I list here. Many news sources have a very high update rate (several times per hour). I recommend making a new Twitter account dedicated specifically for news updates. Otherwise, you may find that personal updates from friends and family are buried within the hour.
